All our canvases are crafted by our expert Photosmiths. They are hand-stretched and mounted on sturdy wooden frames. Our LITE option is, as the name suggests, thinner and more lightweight. FAQs

Can I use any photo for a canvas? Do you have any tips?

For a canvas, especially one of the larger sizes, you really need to have a high quality image. Usually this needs to be at least 1MB, but the bigger the better. A good solid image works better than a very busy picture.

I have received a notification that my image is low resolution, what should I do?

Often images that you take from social media are very small. When you try to enlarge them, you receive a warning about the quality. The best thing to do is try and find the original image. If you took it yourself, the image on your phone or camera will be high resolution. If a friend sent it, ask them to email it to you in a larger file size. As a general rule, if an image is around 1MB, it should be fine to use on our smaller canvases.

Should I choose LITE or Premium Glossy? What’s the difference?

It all depends on personal taste. If you prefer a matte finish then the LITE canvas is the one for you, this also has a lighter and thinner wooden frame. The Premium Glossy is chunkier and has a gloss finish. It requires a more solid fixing than the LITE version.

Why is the edge of my print not on the canvas?

This may be due to the shape of the canvas that you chose. If you had a landscape image but chose a square or portrait canvas, you may have lost some of the image during the cropping process. This should have been made obvious to you during the creation process. It may also have been down to your choice of edging. Please contact Customer Services if you feel there has been an error in the printing.
